Carp not available when the weather is so hotThis year marked the earliest year in our history operating in Virginia and West Virginia that we had to stop shipping Carp
--June 20th. This was caused by two factors. When water is warm, it does not hold oxygen in good concentration
so it is difficult to handle Carp in the hatchery and also to ship them by truck. The stress causes weakness of the
fish, and ailments usually show up immediately to within a few days days. We will resume shipping
around September 15 providing it cools off as it usually does then. You can be assurred that with our unique
fish health/condition guarantee, we will not sell fish that are weak or stressed.
